Noelle Louise Vohs, 56, Brownell, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, from a short battle with cancer at Hays Medical Center. She was born January 2, 1966, to Leonard and Toya (Slansky) Vohs in Plainville. Residing in Brownell the past 13 years, Noelle grew up in Alton, attended school in Osborne and later graduated from Stockton High School with the class of 1984.
After high school, Noelle worked at the Rooks County Courthouse until 1995 when she went to work at Insurance Planning in Hays as an insurance agent assistant until 2002. She then worked for herself cleaning homes around the area, was a farm hand for Paul Pavlu Farms, and worked at Sport Haven at Cedar Bluff Lake.
Noelle kept busy in her work life and when she wasn’t working, she enjoyed walking, shed hunting, riding her Harley and digging snake root. As the queen of Goodwill, she loved her shopping excursions there. She also loved animals, especially her dogs.
Noelle is survived by her significant other Jim Bird of Brownell; mother, Toya Kasiska, Hays; sister, Brenda Axelson and husband Roger, Plainville; step-son, Ethan Bird, Brownell; niece, Kaci Axelson, Natoma; nephew, Trevor Axelson, Hays; and grandson, Isiah Clay Hair.
She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Vohs; brother, Dennis Vohs; and sister, Regina Vohs.
Noelle was a hardworking and fun-loving woman. She knew how to have fun and enjoy life along the way. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but the celebration of her life and memories will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life Service was held January 22, 2022, at the funeral home in Plainville.
