Earl L. Chesney, 71, of Natoma, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Redbud Village in Plainville, Kansas.
Earl was born May 27, 1950 in Hays, Kansas. He was one of five sons born to Home Bruce and Eileen (Meyers) Chesney. He grew up in Natoma and graduated from Natoma High School.
Earl served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his tour of duty, he returned to the Natoma area.
Earl worked with his brothers helping local farmers as a farmhand. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding four wheelers with his nieces and doing crossword puzzles.
Earl’s surviving family include his brother, Larry Chesney of Natoma, Kansas; four nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bruce Chesney, Everett Chesney and Ronald Chesney.
Celebration of Earl’s Life was Friday, January 21, 2022 at the United Methodist Church of Natoma. A private burial will take place at the Survey Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
